Wraparound Care Assistant (Breakfast Club & After School Club) role

The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and reliable Assistants to join our growing team and help deliver safe, engaging, and enriching wraparound care experiences for children attending our breakfast club and after-school provision.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and want to contribute to a professional, high-quality childcare setting where children’s wellbeing, safety, and happiness are at the centre of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate activities
- Provide a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for all children
- Support positive behaviour and encourage respectful relationships
- Build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence, independence, and participation
- Supervise indoor and outdoor play activities appropriately
- Assist with daily routines including snack time, transitions, and tidy-up routines
- Promote positive behaviour and respectful relationships
- Follow safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively and professionally as part of the KidsVentures team
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with children and deliver feedback to parents
- Passionate about creating fun and enriching experiences for children
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Confident working with primary-aged children
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Reliable and able to commit to working every week with limited Holiday requests
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality, and who enjoys working with children, parents, and co-workers
- Able to be playful, fun, and imaginative with children
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children (Essential)
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Playwork, or a related field (Essential)
- A valid Paediatric First Aid qualification (Essential)
- A valid DBS Certification (Essential)
- Safeguarding training (desirable)
- Ability to meet safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements for working with children
- Applicants who already hold an Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service are encouraged to state this within their application

- Breakfast Club: 7:30am – 9:00am

Monday–Friday | Term Time Only
Total hours are approximately 26.25 hours per week for staff working both sessions daily.
Additional hours may become available in line with the future development of KidsVentures holiday club provision.

Work Location: In person
