Job Title: General Laborer - Healthcare M&E
Location: London & Southeast
Reports To: Site Supervisor / Project Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: £25K per annum –Negotiable for the right candidate.
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to support our Mechanical & Electrical teams delivering works within healthcare environments, including hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities. The successful candidate will assist site teams with material handling, site logistics, cleanliness, and general labouring duties while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and infection control.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist M&E engineers and site supervisors with day-to-day site activities
· Load, unload, move, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment
· Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas
· Assist with deliveries, waste management, and site logistics
· Support installation teams with basic labouring tasks
· Follow health & safety procedures, infection control requirements, and healthcare site protocols
· Carry out manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
· Travel between project sites as required
· Report hazards, incidents, or site issues promptly
· Support project teams to ensure works are completed safely and on schedule
Essential Requirements
· Applicants must hold a full UK clean driving licence and meet company vehicle insurance eligibility requirements
· Previous labouring or construction experience preferred
· Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
· Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
· Ability to work within active healthcare environments
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Right to work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
· CSCS Card
· Previous experience working on healthcare projects or live environments
· Basic knowledge of M&E services
· Manual Handling certification
· DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
· IPAF / PASMA (advantageous)
Working Environment
· Work may be undertaken in hospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities, plant rooms, and live operational environments
· Occasional early starts, evening works, or weekend working may be required
· Travel between sites may be necessary
