Creative Teachers are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive SEN school in Eastleigh.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to provide tailored 1:1 and small group support.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and help students achieve their learning goals.
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), or in a care/support role (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, caring, and resilient nature.
- Ideally, a relevant qualification such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
