Chalk Education are seeking full and part time learning support assistants, specifically to support a pupils with SEND.
As an LSA, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to enhance the learning and development of the pupil. You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff to create an engaging and accommodating classroom environment that meets the needs of all students.
Please note that the advertised pay rate is inclusive of holiday pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a pupils diagnosed with SEND
- Support small groups within the classroom
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence and independence.
- Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, sharing insights with the teacher and parents as needed.
- Support the development of social skills and emotional well-being through structured activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is preferred.
- A relevant qualification in education, child development, or special educational needs support is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment.
