Bar Manager – Full Time
Harrogate Brewing Co. is a family-run microbrewery with an onsite Taproom and a centrally located pub in the heart of Harrogate.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about great beer and great hospitality to manage our pub on Royal Parade. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas, take initiative, and actively promote our independent ethos and locally brewed beers to customers. They will have excellent attention to detail, a genuine focus on customer service, and the confidence to build relationships with regulars while creating a welcoming experience for new visitors. A strong knowledge of beer—or a willingness to develop one—is essential, along with the enthusiasm to champion our products and help grow the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the pub and lead the team during service.
- Train, motivate and manage bar staff.
- Prepare staff rotas and manage labour costs effectively.
- Maintain excellent standards of customer service and hospitality.
- Manage stock control, ordering, deliveries and wastage.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Monitor financial performance and help drive sales and profitability.
- Organise and support events, promotions and community engagement.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a management or supervisory role within hospitality.
- Be an excellent leader with strong organisational and communication skills.
- Have a hands-on approach and enjoy working as part of the team.
- Be commercially aware and confident managing stock, staffing and costs.
- Be passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
