Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, organisational abilities, and effective communication skills to provide outstanding service and support within our organisation.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, for deliveries to clients and suppliers
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled carefully and securely
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required
- Ensure timely delivery of goods in accordance with schedules and customer requirements
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine checks to ensure roadworthiness
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or stock issues
- Follow all health and safety procedures during transportation and warehouse activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within a warehouse environment
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ideally have experience with commercial driving vehicles such as lorries or vans
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills for managing deliveries and stock control
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and clients effectively
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specific duties
