Summary
We are seeking a skilled Development Upholsterer to join our team in the Fylde Coast area. This vital role involves creating and refining upholstered furniture pieces that meet our high standards of quality and design. Responsibilities
- Interpret design specifications and select appropriate materials for upholstery projects.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment to assemble and upholster furniture.
- Measure, cut, and fabricate fabric and padding materials with precision.
- Ensure all upholstery work adheres to safety standards and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to improve processes and outcomes.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Assist in the development of new upholstery techniques and prototypes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Upholsterer or similar role within furniture manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and design specifications.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and manual tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English.
