We are recruiting for a Cook to join our team at Jigsaw Day Nursery.
Work times: Monday to Friday, hours will be discussed at interview.
Must be available to attend face to face interviews.
Must reside in Northern Ireland
Rate of pay and contract can be discussed at interview
Responsibilities
- To plan, prepare and cook all menu dishes, providing a high-quality meals.
- Ensure dietary requirements are monitored, adhered to and met as necessary
- Prepare meals at an agreed time as required by the nursery
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and associated areas at all times.
- Maintain hygiene of kitchen.
- Carrying out all duties necessary to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
- Ensure all cleaning is completed as per cleaning rota
- Ensure all food returned to the fridge is covered with cling film and dated
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and attend all training when required
- Communicate effectively with other staff,
- Adhere to and ensure you are fully aware of the fire policy and the awareness of food hygiene regulations and safe practice according to Health and Safety policies.
- Ensure you are familiar with all current policies and procedures and understand your duty to comply and implement them when necessary
Essential Skills
- NVQ 2 or City & Guilds Equivalent.
- Food Hygiene level 2.
- Professional experience
- Right to work in the UK
