Pre-Teacher Training Experience Programme
Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time (term time)
Pay: £500 – £510 per week
About the Role
Are you considering a career in teaching but want classroom experience first?
Our Step Into Teaching programme offers a year-long, full-time placement in a local school, giving you the opportunity to gain vital experience before starting teacher training.
As part of this programme, you’ll work closely with teachers and pupils every day, developing practical skills and confidence in the classroom while making a real difference to young people’s lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting teachers with lessons and classroom activities.
- Working with pupils in small groups or one-to-one to boost learning - including pupils with additional needs and EHCP's
- Helping create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Assisting with classroom organisation, displays, and resources.
- Gaining first-hand experience of school life, preparing you for teacher training.
What We’re Looking For
- A graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) with a passion for education.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Reliability, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching.
