Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Coldroom Fitter/Team Leader to oversee the installation, maintenance, or/ and repair and maintain walk in cold rooms. This role involves leading a team of cold rooms fitters to ensure high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge, leadership abilities, and experience in , maintenance and installation.This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to large-scale refrigeration projects while guiding a team towards successful outcomes.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of fitters during coldroom installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
- Interpret technical schematics and blueprints to accurately assemble and install cold storage units.
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on refrigeration equipment to identify faults or inefficiencies.
- Oversee the safe handling and installation of insulation panels and structural elements within coldrooms.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with clients and project managers to schedule work efficiently and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and repairs carried out for accountability and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in joinery (including cladding)
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and system layouts.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Skills in equipment repair, maintenance procedures within Coldrooms
- Background in construction or related trades is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in refrigeration engineering or HVAC are preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a proactive approach to leadership and technical excellence in cold storage solutions.

Pay: £16.00-£19.50 per hour
