Floor SupervisorKahiki Soundhouse – Manchester
We are seeking a confident, energetic, and highly organised Floor Supervisor to support the day-to-day guest experience at Kahiki Soundhouse, our late-night live music and cocktail venue in Manchester.
This is a hands-on role focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences, supporting floor operations, waiting on tables, and leading from the front during busy service periods. The successful candidate will be highly visible on the floor, setting standards through their own work ethic, customer interaction, and attention to detail.
You will work closely with management, bar teams, security, and entertainment staff to ensure guests receive an exceptional experience from arrival through to departure.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Floor Operations
- Take an active hands-on role on the floor during service, including waiting on tables and engaging directly with guests
- Lead by example through strong service standards, professionalism, and energy
- Maintain strong awareness of customer flow throughout the venue, including entrances, seating areas, karaoke spaces, and dancefloor areas
- Continuously monitor the floor to spot issues before they escalate, including service delays, guest dissatisfaction, cleanliness concerns, or operational problems
- Ensure guests are welcomed, looked after, and engaged throughout their visit
- Assist with resolving customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
- Support the smooth running of front-of-house operations throughout the night
Reservations & Table Management
- Assist with managing reservations, walk-ins, and table allocations during service
- Help maximise occupancy across all areas of the venue
- Support the team in managing busy trading periods and guest movement throughout the night
- Communicate effectively with hosts, bar staff, and security to ensure smooth operations
Atmosphere & Guest Engagement
- Help maintain the overall atmosphere of the venue by ensuring guest areas remain lively, organised, and operating efficiently
- Work alongside DJs, performers, and management to support the overall guest experience
- Ensure the venue reflects Kahiki Soundhouse brand standards at all times
- Encourage positive energy and engagement across the venue floor
Team Support & Leadership
- Support and motivate floor staff during service
- Lead from the front rather than supervising from the sidelines
- Assist team members during peak periods and help maintain service momentum
- Support the training and development of newer staff members
- Maintain strong communication between departments throughout shifts
Operational Standards
- Ensure guest-facing areas remain clean, organised, and presentable throughout trading
- Support management in maintaining licensing objectives and company standards
- Assist with opening, closing, and shift handovers where required
- Help ensure operational procedures are followed correctly during busy late-night service
About You
- Previous experience in hospitality, bar, nightclub, or late-night venue environments preferred
- Comfortable running sections and waiting on tables in high-volume environments
- A natural leader who leads by example and remains proactive throughout shifts
- Strong awareness and ability to quickly identify and resolve issues on the floor
- Confident working under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Passionate about customer experience and nightlife hospitality
- Reliable, well-presented, and proactive
- Comfortable working late nights and weekends
Pay: £13.21-£13.50 per hour
