Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

7am - 3:30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break
Amasis Ltd are looking for a full-time warehouse operative to work in our new high bay warehouse facility. This is a key role to ensure correct order fulfilment.
The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience as a warehouse operative/forklift driver as well as physical strength and fitness for heavy lifting. A large proportion of the job role is unloading 40ft shipping containers by hand and palletizing within a specified time limit. This will also include wrapping of goods and putting away the excess pallets before picking orders to be dispatched that day.
Day to day responsibilities of a Warehouse operative/Forklift driver:
- Ensure that all products when received or picked match the relevant paperwork
- Put away, picking and packing products
- Lift and handle products following manual handling safety and guidelines
- Use of machinery once trained and authorised to do so by warehouse manager
- Assist in maintaining a BRC level of cleanliness within the area of work
- Being responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanical devices
Ensure efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, health & safety policies, rules and schedules and BRC procedures.
Required skills, experience and attributes:
- Bendi/flexi forklift licence preffered
- Comfortable working at heights
- Good team-working skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read picking notes and identify bay locations
- Able to record information accurately if required
- Digital literacy with a basic knowledge of computers
- Good organisational skills
- Willing to train on an articulated forklift truck
- Warehouse experience preferred but not essential
