Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Domiciliary Care Worker to provide high-quality in-home care to clients in their own residences. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to support individuals with varying needs, including elderly and vulnerable adults, ensuring their comfort, safety, and independence. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support. Some shifts will be split into mornings and afternoons.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Provide specialised care for patients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
- Support with medication administration and management according to care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary and safe transfer techniques
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings using company or personal vehicle
- Manage behaviour effectively and implement behaviour management strategies when required
- Offer emotional support and companionship, fostering a trusting relationship
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care, hospice care, and senior care practices
- Experience with Alzheimer's, dementia, and behavioural management is advantageous
- Relevant qualifications such as First Aid certification are preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Valid driving licence for client transportation purposes
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate nature
- Ability to work independently whilst following care plans accurately
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
