Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team. This vital role involves providing high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. The successful candidate will play a key part in fostering a safe, nurturing environment that promotes personal development and well-being. Prior experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential for this position.
Duties
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the emotional and physical needs of children are met.
- Support children with daily activities, including education, leisure, and personal care routines.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting their independence and social skills.
- Assist with organising activities and outings, including driving children where necessary in company vehicles.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, behaviour reports, and daily logs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each child’s development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to health and safety policies.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childcare, communication, and IT systems used within the organisation.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting.
- Valid driving licence and confidence in driving company vehicles.
- Knowledge of child development principles and experience in implementing care plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and proficiency in IT systems relevant to record keeping and reporting.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable young people.

- Completed Level 3 Leadership and Management and willing to work towards Level 5

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
