Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and independence of those in their care, ensuring they receive respectful, personalised assistance. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
- Support clients with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and adhere to organisational procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Assist with light household tasks including cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry as required
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities safely and responsibly when necessary
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe environment for all parties involved
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely are preferred
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care plans accurately
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others' well-being
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a caring environment
