Kitchen Porter (with Food Preparation Experience)
The Terrace Café is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team.
This is a fast-paced, busy café with high standards of cleanliness, food quality and customer service. The role is primarily kitchen porter duties, with some food preparation and occasional food service, so previous experience working in a busy commercial kitchen is essential.
You will be someone who works quickly, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, and enjoys being part of a supportive team. We are looking for someone who is seeking a long-term position and who can become an important part of our kitchen team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Washing pots, pans, crockery and utensils efficiently to a high standard.
- Loading and unloading the dishwasher.
- Putting away clean equipment and ensuring the kitchen remains organised.
- Following the kitchen cleaning schedule and completing all cleaning tasks thoroughly.
- Assisting with basic food preparation and occasional food service as required.
- Cleaning workstations and equipment, ensuring food hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Following all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures.
- Supporting the kitchen team wherever needed during busy service.

- Has previous experience working in a busy commercial kitchen.

- Has excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation.

- Has a positive attitude and is willing to help wherever needed.
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday, 10:30am – 3:00pm.
