We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and reliable Waking Night Healthcare Assistant to join a friendly and well-established 23-bed residential care home on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

About the Role
As a Waking Night Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents throughout the night. You will provide person-centred care, promote independence where possible, and respond promptly to residents' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality care and support to residents during night shifts.
- Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting where required.
- Conducting regular welfare checks and monitoring residents' wellbeing.
- Supporting residents with mobility and repositioning where necessary.
- Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment throughout the night.
- Responding appropriately to emergencies and safeguarding concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a residential care, nursing home, or healthcare setting.
- A caring, patient, and compassionate approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care principles.
- Medication training is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is advantageous.
