We have an opportunity for 2 Learning Support Assistants to join Clawton Primary School at an exciting moment in the school’s journey. The school is currently part of the Alumnis Multi Academy Trust; however, the school will be transferring to the Learning Academy Partnership in 2026.
Nestled in the rural North Devon countryside, Clawton Primary School is a small village school with a strong sense of community. Situated near the market town of Holsworthy, we pride ourselves on the close relationships we build with our families and the wider community, working together to help every child flourish.
Our rich, engaging curriculum is built around our core values; Academic, Character, Community and Innovation, helping children develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. In our nurturing environment, every child is supported to grow and make a positive difference in the world.
We believe that education is about more than lessons in a classroom - it’s about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and giving every child the best possible start in life.
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join us who is inspired by our mission and wants to be part of a Trust where children are at the heart of everything we do. You will play a vital role in supporting and nurturing our children, including those with Special Educational Needs, helping to remove barriers to learning so every child can flourish.
Our ideal candidate will be committed to making a profound difference, particularly for our most disadvantaged children, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive. Experience with autism, speech and language development, and knowledge of phonics would also be an advantage, but not essential.
We value the diversity of skills and perspectives that every colleagues brings and are committed to supporting a healthy life balance for all our colleagues. We’re happy to explore flexible working arrangements and discuss what that might look like for you.
Our Trust is dedicated to building an authentic workforce, so if you are excited about this role but your past experience looks a little different to what we’ve identified, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the perfect candidate!
At the Learning Academy Partnership, our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs; we are stronger together, a sense of belonging; removing barriers and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish. Our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together.
What we can offer you:
● Make a real difference – every day you’ll have the chance to make a profound difference to children’s lives.
● Be part of something bigger – you will be part of a values-led School Trust where we collaborate, innovate, and succeed together.
● We invest in you – our People Strategy ensures you’re nurtured, supported, and given opportunities to develop so you can provide the very best for our children.
