The Opportunity
Perfect Recruitment is delighted to be working with a prestigious 4-star hotel and wedding venue in Barrow-in-Furness to recruit a Breakfast Chef.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-rising chef who enjoys working in a structured environment and takes pride in delivering a high-quality breakfast service. The hotel is home to a 1 AA Rosette restaurant and an established kitchen brigade led by an experienced Executive Chef and Head Chef.
Typical shifts are 5:00am – 2:00pm, with breakfast service running until 10:00am. The remainder of the shift will be spent supporting the wider kitchen team with preparation for lunch, dinner and events service.
This role would suit a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or ambitious Commis Chef looking to join a reputable hotel operation and further develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver a high-quality breakfast service for hotel guests
- Cook both buffet and made-to-order breakfast dishes
- Ensure all breakfast offerings are presented to a consistently high standard
- Maintain stock levels, cleanliness and organisation within your section
- Carry out food preparation for the main kitchen following breakfast service
- Support the wider brigade with mise en place for restaurant and events operations
- Adhere to all food safety, allergen and health & safety regulations
- Help maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
- Contribute positively to the smooth running of the kitchen team
About You
Essential Experience
- Previous experience working as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or Commis Chef within a fresh-food kitchen
- Comfortable working early morning shifts
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen best practices
- Experience working in a busy service environment
Desirable Experience
- Previous hotel experience
- Rosette-standard kitchen experience
