Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a diverse range of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in menu planning and develop new recipes to enhance our offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Adhere to health and safety policies at all times, including proper handling and storage of food products
- Serve meals promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes confidently
- Experience with meal preparation for large groups or in a high-volume setting is desirable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude
- Previous restaurant experience or serving experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
