We are seeking experienced and reliable uPVC Window & Door Fitters to work on domestic residential properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing uPVC windows and doors, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard in line with industry regulations and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
· Install uPVC windows, doors, conservatories, and related products in residential properties
· Remove old or damaged windows and doors with minimal disruption to the property
· Measure and prepare openings to ensure precise fitting and finish
· Seal installations correctly to ensure weatherproofing and energy efficiency
· Carry out remedial work, adjustments, and snagging as required
· Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and health & safety standards
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment within customers' homes
· Liaise professionally with customers, providing clear communication throughout the installation process
· Identify and report any site issues or additional work requirements
· Complete job sheets, reports, and any required documentation accurately
Skills & Experience
· Proven experience in installing uPVC windows and doors in domestic settings
· Strong knowledge of fitting techniques, materials, and tools
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or measurements
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
· Good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt on-site
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Qualifications & Requirements
· Full UK driving licence (essential)
· CSCS card (preferred but not essential)
· Relevant NVQ or equivalent qualification in Fenestration Installation or similar (advantageous)
· Knowledge of current building regulations and installation standards
Working Conditions
· Working primarily on occupied residential properties
· Travel between job sites may be required
· Work may involve lifting heavy materials and working at height
