Job Title: Young Carer Support Worker
Salary: £14,871 per annum (£24,454 FTE)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: Flexible and hybrid working in the community - Medway

About this role
As a Young Carer Support Worker your responsibilities would include: -
- Completing assessments for young carers and provide high quality information and support including one-to-one conversations to identify needs with assessments and support plans
- Running support groups and activities
- Working with schools and partnership working to identify young carers in Medway.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need:-
- Experience of working with young people (ideally vulnerable groups or carers) either in one-to-one or group setting and demonstrate an understanding of young carers and their issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The location for the position is flexible, but candidates must be willing to work from community venues and have flexibility to work outside of normal working hours to meet the needs of young carers in Medway.
