Job Description
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, helping them access education, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
- Supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH, and other additional learning needs.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Supporting pupils with personal, social, and communication development.
- Recording progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, coaching, or similar settings).
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of SEN and inclusive practices is desirable.
