Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse and Distribution Manager to oversee our logistics operations and optimise supply chain efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse activities, coordinating transportation, and implementing process improvements to ensure smooth distribution processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with extensive warehouse experience and supervisory expertise to lead a dynamic team within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Organise, analyse and continually improve performance of the area
- Supervision and coordination of daily work in distribution for both incoming and outgoing goods
- Prioritise workload in line with customer needs and despatch dates
- Set rules for storage of goods and ensure good FIFO is in place
- Assembly planning in conjunction with production control / planning
- Supervision of team to manage the workload in a cost-effective way; supervise shifts and overtime requirements
- Ensuring quality on received goods and shipments to warehouses or end customer
- Ensure timely supply of packaging materials
- Identify and implement improvements
- Responsible for the management of, and compliance to, all Company, Employment, Occupational Health, Health & Safety and Environmental policy arrangements within the area
- To perform any other reasonable duties as required
Qualifications
- Educated and/or experienced in Engineering, Man Management and Continuous Improvement background.
- Promote and develop the area in accordance with SKF’s Production System
- Responsibility for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Working Climate and Environment for the area
- Review skills and plan and execute competence development plans
Pay: £39,406.00-£44,591.00 per year
