A specialist SEN provision in Sutton is seeking a dedicated and motivated Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional and complex needs, helping them develop independence, functional skills, and access to learning.
About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Carry out functional, sensory, and developmental assessments
- Develop and deliver individualised OT intervention programmes
- Support pupils with needs including Autism (ASC), SLD, PMLD, sensory processing difficulties, and physical disabilities
- Design and implement sensory diets and regulation strategies
- Recommend and support the use of specialist equipment and adaptations
- Contribute to EHCP assessments, annual reviews, and therapy reports
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, physiotherapists, SALTs, and wider MDT professionals
- Provide guidance and training to staff and parents/carers
- Monitor progress and adapt interventions to meet pupils’ changing needs
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration – essential
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN / complex needs
- Strong understanding of sensory integration, motor development, and functional skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Excellent communication and MDT working skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Experience within a school or specialist SEN environment
- Knowledge of AAC, sensory equipment, and adaptive strategies
- Experience supporting pupils with multi-sensory or physical needs

Pay: £32,668.63-£48,798.47 per year
