Part-Time Cook – Farmshop Café
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking part-time cook to join our busy farmshop café team. A passion for homemade food, local produce and great customer experience is essential.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous experience working in a café, kitchen or catering environment
* Be passionate about fresh, locally sourced produce and homemade food
* Have baking experience or an interest in home baking (scones, cakes, traybakes etc. would be ideal)
* Be confident preparing breakfasts, light lunches and daily specials to a high standard
* Be able to work efficiently during busy periods whilst maintaining quality and presentation
* Have good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures
* Be willing to assist with stock rotation and maintaining high food standards
* Take pride in keeping the kitchen clean, organised and fully compliant with hygiene regulations
* Be happy to help with washing up and general cleaning duties as part of the team
* Have a positive, friendly attitude and work well with others
* Be reliable, punctual and flexible, including some weekend availability
Duties Include:
* Preparing and cooking fresh café food
* Baking homemade cakes, scones and sweet treats
* Assisting with menu preparation and specials
* Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
* Cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas
* Supporting the wider café team when needed
A love of homemade food, attention to detail and a warm, team-focused attitude are just as important to us as experience.
Job Type
Permanent part time 2 day role – 9am to 4.30pm Saturday and Sunday. Flexible hours. Weekend working is an essential feature of this role.
