A superb opportunity to join a vibrant, expanding company in the role of Benchfitter, on a permanent contract. Working 40 hours per week, 07:30am to 4:00pm with a half hour lunch break.
21 days holiday per year, increasing by 1 day per completed year of service up to a maximum of 27 days, Bank holidays and weekly paid. Free parking as well as free hot drinks.
To be effective within this position the ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment and/or within the construction /joinery industry:
Duties will include:
- Checking tickets
- Checking that all doors are correct according to the ticket
- Check doors for damage
- Handling/lifting of doors (2 man)
- Hand sanding of door grooves
- Painting of doors using water based paint
- Application of inlays using solvent glue
- Wapping & packaging doors ready for delivery
- Quality control throughout
- Produce high quality serviced doors
Essential Skills:
- Experience within a Warehouse environment
- An understanding of manual handling
- Organized, focused and hardworking
- Good co-ordination skills, able to prioritise and multi task
- Keen eye for detail and quality control
- Adaptable to changes, being reactive to urgent requests as well as being proactive
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus
- Good communication skills
