Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Barristers Clerk to provide essential administrative support within our Chambers.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing case files, liaising with clients and courts, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily diary and administration activities.

This is a full-time role based at our office in Preston, Lancashire.
Duties
- Organise and maintain case files, documents, and materials efficiently
- Liaise with barristers, clients, courts, and external agencies to coordinate schedules and appointments
- Manage court listings, deadlines, and filing requirements in accordance with legal procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to enquiries and assisting clients as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and data entry
- Support the barristers in preparing documentation for hearings and meetings
- Monitor case progress and update relevant parties regularly to ensure deadlines are met
Requirements
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong analysis skills to interpret legal documents and identify key information
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions
- Previous administrative experience, preferably within a legal or professional environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software is desirable
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in all work undertaken
