Job Summary
We are seeking a full time or two part time, talented and passionate Chef/s or cook/s to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with the ability to create delicious dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef/cook, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen while ensuring a positive dining experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development.
- Ensure all food preparation is conducted in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Supervise the kitchen to ensure efficient operation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Chef or cook or in a similar role within a hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- A creative flair for cooking and presenting dishes that are visually appealing.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
- A passion and desire for excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
