Bath Lock & Key Ltd is the only locksmithing company in Bath approved by the Master Locksmith Association (MLA) and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as a trainee locksmith, where you will learn a skilled trade through hands on, in shop training and real-world experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in locksmithing, with full training, mentoring and opportunities for progression and pay rises

Responsibilities
- Primarily shop / workshop-based work with occasional assistance to call outs / outside engineers
- Serving customers
- Ordering stock
- Answering emails and phone calls
- Cutting keys and locksmithing benchwork leading onto on-the-job training
All of which will be walked through with you and a senior locksmith there for assistance at all times.
We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and progress into the master locksmith role with the qualification test payed for by us. No matter what your skill range is we are willing to teach and help you progress with a 6-month probation process for both us and you to make sure this is the right job for you.
Extras:
- You will need to be prepared to have a DBS check as we work for schools and nursing homes etc.
- Working in an independent shop on the bustling Widcombe high street in Bath with plenty of cafes for your half an hour lunch break.
- Once we feel you are ready, the Master Locksmith Qualification test will be paid for by us, so you can become one of the very few in bath with this qualification.

- The pay will be reviewed regularly and as your skills progress there is plenty of opportunity for the pay to increase with your skill levels.
- As we are a tight knit independent business, Christmas dinners are annual and paid for by us!
