Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part 1 Scaffolder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various sites, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout all operations. Responsibilities
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications
- Inspect scaffolding for stability and safety before use and during operations
- Assist with the installation of temporary work platforms, access routes, and fall protection systems
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, or masons to ensure seamless project execution
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble scaffolding components
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risks on site
- Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and materials efficiently
- Report any safety concerns or structural issues promptly to supervisors
Qualifications
- Proven experience in scaffolding or related construction trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry
- Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or fabrication is advantageous
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to scaffolding assembly and disassembly
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project plans accurately
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Valid certification in scaffolding (Part 1) or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential for experienced candidates willing to undertake training
