Skills & Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or Willing to undergo (or equivalent)
- 2+ years’ recent experience in residential childcare
- 1+ year supervising/managing care staff
- Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations (England, 2015)
- Experience with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and develop care staff
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and care standards
- Oversee care planning and support for each young person
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment
- Manage recruitment, training, and budgets
- Build community links and support children’s integration
- Ensure safeguarding and complaints procedures are followed
