Main Purpose of Role
Lead sourcing and supplier management for direct materials to ensure cost, quality, availability and continuity of supply for manufacturing operations.
Key Accountabilities

Develop and execute category strategies for direct materials. Category ownership and scope are subject to change in line with business needs.

Lead sourcing, tendering and commercial negotiations.

Manage supplier performance, risk, compliance and development.

Drive cost reduction, value engineering and should-cost initiatives.

Support new product introductions and engineering changes.

Partner with Quality on supplier quality governance.

Maintain robust contracts, pricing and supply agreements.

Monitor market trends and supply risks.

Ensure accurate master data and pricing governance.

Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential Criteria
-
Category management or procurement experience in manufacturing.

Strong understanding of direct materials and supply markets.

Commercial and negotiation skills.
-
Experience managing supplier relationships and performance.
Desirable Criteria
-
Global sourcing experience.

Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.

Formal procurement or supply chain qualification.
