Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep chefs, and dishwashers, ensuring smooth shift operations and high-quality food production
- Oversee menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to meet the restaurant’s standards for excellence in fine dining
- Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels to minimize waste and control costs
- Enforce strict food safety protocols and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of exceptional culinary experiences
- Train team members on food handling, cooking techniques, and service procedures to foster skill development and consistency
- Monitor kitchen workflow during shifts, manage staffing schedules, and ensure efficient shift management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production within a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting with banquet experience preferred
- Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated team management and leadership abilities
- Extensive knowledge of dietary department practices, food safety standards, and inventory management
- Hands-on experience in food preparation, catering, and restaurant management
- Familiarity with menu planning, food service management, and kitchen operations in the food industry
- Excellent cooking skills combined with a solid understanding of kitchen management principles
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience supervising staff in a hospitality environment is highly desirable
