We are looking for a Transport Operations Support Coordinator to join our busy transport team. This is a key support role within a fast-paced pallet network and general haulage operation, helping to ensure the smooth running of daily transport activities.
You will support route planning, driver communication, customer service, and general transport administration, playing an important role in maintaining service levels and operational efficiency.
Cross Country Carriers is a well-established family run business and celebrated its 45th anniversary in 2023. Key Responsibilities
- Support daily route planning and workload allocation
- Assist planners during busy periods and absences
- Act as a point of contact for drivers and help resolve day-to-day issues
- Liaise with customers, depots, and internal teams
- Complete transport administration and update systems accurately
- Assist with driver debriefs and operational reporting
- Handle incoming calls and customer queries professionally
- Support continuous improvement across transport operations
About You
- Experience in transport, logistics, or haulage (desirable)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good IT skills and attention to detail
- Positive, proactive, and team-focused attitude
