Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Toddler Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. This role involves delivering high-quality early childhood education and care to toddlers, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports their developmental needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with young children and promoting their well-being and learning. Responsibilities
- Provide personalised care plans for children and families.
- Work with the team caring for young children within the nursery or childcare environment.
- Offer guidance and support to staff regarding childcare best practices and early childhood development - in relation to Turning 2's group.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and share information.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for children and staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and organisational efficiency from an advanced experience perspective.
- Support children's developmental needs through specialised interventions and educational activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience within a baby / toddler room and childcare settings.
- Extensive experience working with children, including nursery or early childhood education backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrable knowledge of childcare practices, child development theories, and early education principles.
- Relevant professional qualifications in early years or early childhood education are essential.
- Ability to share baby/toddler experience and practice with other team members
Qualifications Essential:
- Level 6 / QTS (preferable not essential)
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Childcare qualification.
- Current Paediatric First Aid (preferable not essential)
- Baby / Toddler Care specific qualifications or training
