Senior Contract / Project Manager – Electrical Projects
Location: West Yorkshire (with travel across the region)
Salary: Circa £65,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
The Opportunity
Our client are a well-established, growing and reputable main contractor for commercial M&E projects ranging between £1million and £5 million in value, they are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Contract / Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale commercial electrical projects, initially consisting of 2 projects in West Yorkshire with a combined £8million value.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with a strong background in both contract management and project delivery, capable of managing the full project cycle from pre-construction through to completion while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, commercial performance, as well as acting as the lead contact for the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of large-scale commercial projects across multiple sites.
- Manage projects from initial planning and procurement through to commissioning and handover.
- Take full responsibility for contract administration, programme management, and commercial performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Manage project teams, including site managers, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, and risk management activities.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
- Produce and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Support business growth through identifying opportunities for repeat business and client development.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a Senior Project Manager, Contracts Manager, or similar leadership role within the electrical contracting sector.
- Strong track record of successfully delivering large-scale commercial electrical projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of contract management, project planning, commercial controls, and programme delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of current electrical industry standards and regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
