The Opportunity
A leading UK fresh-produce business is looking for a Farm Engineer to join its on-site engineering team. You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of agricultural and heavy-duty machinery used across a large-scale farming operation.
This is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor-focused environment and wants a stable Monday-Friday pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Machinery maintenance – servicing tractors, harvesters, conveyors, graders, and other farm equipment
- Mechanical diagnostics – identifying faults and carrying out repairs quickly and safely
- Welding & fabrication – MIG or TIG welding for repairs and custom builds
- Preventative maintenance – ensuring machinery uptime during peak seasons
- On-site engineering support – responding to breakdowns and supporting farm operations
What You'll Need
- Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience in agricultural engineering, heavy machinery, or similar industrial environments
- Strong MIG or TIG welding skills
- Ability to work independently across a large site
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
