Alfa Staff- Manual Lathe Operator – up to £40,560.00
We are currently seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Operator to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Manual lathe machines to produce high-quality precision parts.
The hours for this position are: 7am to 3.30pm, Monday – Thursday and 7am to 2pm on Friday – 39 Hours
Optional overtime Saturday 7am to 10am – Overtime Paid at Time + Half
Duties:
- Set up and operate Manual lathe machines to perform various machining operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of parts produced.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Inspect finished products for quality control.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating Manual lathe machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of materials handling.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and basic maths for measurements.
- Ability to assemble, fabricate, and weld parts as needed.
