About Us
Dulwich Oaks Montessori Nursery School is a well-established Montessori nursery caring for children aged 1–4 years. We provide a warm, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to become confident, independent learners through authentic Montessori principles combined with outstanding early years practice.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our experienced team.
The Role
You will work closely with children aged 1–4 years, supporting their learning and development through carefully prepared Montessori environments and high-quality early years practice.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and education for children aged 1–4 years.
- Support children's learning through Montessori-inspired activities and child-led experiences.
- Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS.
- Observe, assess and record children's progress.
- Act as a key person for a group of children.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers.
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive staff team.
- Contribute positively to the continued development of the nursery.
Essential Requirements
- CACHE Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma (or another full and relevant Level 3 qualification recognised in England).
- Experience working in an early years setting.
- A basic understanding of the Montessori approach and willingness to work within a Montessori environment.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.
- A positive, caring and professional attitude.
- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively within a team.
Montessori Training
Previous Montessori qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Applicants without a Montessori qualification must be willing to complete our Montessori top-up training programme after joining the nursery.
Overseas Applicants
Applications from overseas candidates are welcome, provided you:
- Hold CACHE Level 3 Early Years Educator diploma (no other qualification will be accepted)
- Meet the English language requirements for a Skilled Worker visa.
- Understand that visa application fees, Immigration Health Surcharge (NHS charges), and any associated relocation costs must be paid by the successful applicant.
Pre-Employment Checks
Dulwich Oaks Montessori Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be required to complete all safer recruitment checks before employment can commence, including:
- An enhanced DBS check with children's barred list check.
- Overseas police clearance certificates from any country where you have lived or worked, where applicable.
- Verification of identity and right to work in the UK.
- Verification of qualifications and employment history.
- A minimum of two satisfactory professional references, including the most recent employer where applicable.
Employment is subject to the satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks.
