VACANCY: Quality Technician
SHIFT: Monday – Friday 7/8am -4/5pm.
LOCATION: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)

MTL Advanced is hiring due to a major expansion, marked by the opening of our brand-new manufacturing facility, based in Rotherham just 5 minutes away from Meadowhall shopping centre.

We are seeking a Quality Technician to support the Quality Engineers with admin tasks such as creating and amending quality control checking sheets, collating data, reviewing and creating legible inspection reports.
This role is key to ensuring both our external customers and internal departments receive the correct information, in a timely manner and a format which is understood.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Creating and amending quality control checking sheets
- Creating material traceability reports
- Full review of Quality inspection reports and determining if parts have ‘passed or failed’
- Creating legible inspection reports to customer expectations
- Collating data
- Ensuring information received is completed in full
- Conduct process audits
- Supporting Root Cause & Corrective action investigations
- Implementing robust preventative actions to stop repeat issues
- Good understanding Engineering drawings
- Understanding of ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems (or equivalent)
ABOUT YOU:
- Highly organised and excellent attention to detail
- Worked in a similar environment (heavy / large manufacturing, specifically Fabrication and/or Machining)
- Good understanding of engineering drawings
- Be able to interpret complex inspection reports (ideally, has been a Faro inspector or has a very good understanding of Polyworks inspection software)
- Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Previous knowledge of heavy manufacturing, which includes Fabrication and Machining.
