Job Overview.
We are currently recruiting reliable and motivated General Operatives to join our manufacturing team. Successful candidates will support day-to-day production activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. This role is ideal for individuals who are hands-on, adaptable, and keen to develop their skills within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided where required, and the position is paid.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a range of production and manufacturing tasks in line with established procedures.
- Operate basic machinery, hand tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform visual and basic quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Maintain clean, tidy, and well‑organised work areas at all times.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist with packing, labelling, and preparing goods for storage or dispatch as required.
- Support stock handling and material movement within the factory.
- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
- Report any faults, defects, or safety concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or similar environment is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Physically capable of carrying out manual duties, including repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities as required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for completing simple records and following procedures.
