Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Technician
Reporting to: Head of Technical Services
Location: Borehamwood
Arrangements: Monday – Friday (9am-5.30pm) 2 days office based, 3 days on site.
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + £5,000 performance bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
The Mobile Maintenance Technician will be responsible for conducting fire door inspection routines and reporting to the Head of Technical Services. Utilising provided equipment, materials, and resources, they will collaborate with team members and contractors to deliver high-quality services.
The role includes:
- Conducting quarterly inspections of fire doors in common areas across various sites.
- Carrying out annual inspections of flat front doors to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Identifying and reporting defects, wear and tear, or non-compliance issues using specialised software.
- Keeping detailed records of all inspections, including dates, findings, and actions taken.
- Staying updated on the latest fire safety regulations and standards.
- Participating in fire safety audits and reviews when required.
- Communicating effectively with property managers, residents, and other stakeholders regarding fire safety and inspection schedules.
- Attending training and workshops to enhance skills related to fire safety and door inspections.
Candidate Profile:
- Prior experience in a Fire Door Inspector role or similar fire safety position is advantageous but not essential.
- Open to learning and adaptable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify safety hazards.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple inspection schedules independently.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Holds a full UK driving license and is willing to travel to various locations.
- Able to work proactively with minimal supervision.
