Tree Planting & Maintenance Operative - Ongoing Temp Role
Bristol | Full Time | £16.97 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a Tree Planting & Maintenance Operative to support tree planting and maintenance projects across parks, open spaces and public areas.
This is a hands-on outdoor role working as part of a dedicated team responsible for maintaining and improving green spaces throughout the city.
Key Responsibilities:

Planting, watering and maintaining trees
-
Carrying out horticultural duties including weeding, pruning and grounds maintenance
-
Safely operating a range of tools, machinery and equipment
-
Supporting sustainability initiatives through recycling and responsible resource management
-
Maintaining equipment, vehicles and work areas to a high standard

Providing excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public
Requirements:
-
Experience in horticulture, grounds maintenance, tree planting or environmental conservation

Knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices
-
Experience using grounds maintenance equipment and tools
-
Understanding of tree planting techniques and species identification
-
Full UK Driving Licence
-
Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
-
NVQ Level 2 in Amenity Horticulture, Environmental Conservation or equivalent

Experience with grass cutting, sports grounds, weed control or habitat management
-
Experience supporting volunteers or community groups
Pay Rate: £16.97 per hour
