Form Plants aspires to be the UK's leading plant nursery. To deliver this ambition, we are seeking a dedicated, dynamic and enthusiastic nursery assistant to join our team.
As a nursery assistant, you will play a vital role in growing, nurturing and maintaining our extensive range of trees, shrubs, topiary, hedging and prestigious contract grows. This position requires heavy lifting, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with power tools and hand tools.
Our award winning nursery grows an extensive range of plants for the horticultural sector, including RHS flower shows, installations and complex planting projects.
Duties to include:
- Assist with the daily operations of the nursery, including plant care and maintenance tasks
- Plant propagation, potting and nurturing.
- Creative pruning of our range of trees, topiary, hedging and shrubs.
- Water, feed, and manage nursery plants to maximize their health and growth
- Repair and maintain nursery equipment as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a nursery or similar environment is preferred but not required
- Fantastic horticultural knowledge
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and plant care techniques
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely
