Trainee Trade Counter Assistant
Park Royal
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Job Purpose
We are seeking a well-organised and motivated individual who is looking to begin a career within the hydraulic industry. This role combines trade counter responsibilities with hands-on learning, providing a pathway into a technical engineering position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the depot under the direction of the Centre Manager
- Support the trade counter function, including serving customers and handling enquiries
- Maintain stock levels in line with depot requirements
- Ensure the depot is kept clean, organised, and safe both internally and externally
- Liaise with customers and colleagues in a professional and helpful manner
- Provide general assistance to other team members when required
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to communicate effectively, including explaining technical information to engineering personnel
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Professional attitude and good personal presentation
- Willingness to learn and develop within a technical environment
- Team player with a proactive approach
Training & Development
- Completion of an internal induction and training programme
- Ongoing on-site assessments as required by management
- Potential to train as a Hydraulic Technician Apprenticeship
