Responsibilities
- Carry out multidrop deliveries to commercial customers and building sites.
- Complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Secure loads using appropriate methods (e.g. strapping).
- Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks, including fuel, tyres, and fluid levels.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Comply with all road safety and driving regulations.
- Follow safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
- Demonstrate flexibility regarding start times in line with business requirements.
Requirements
- Hold a valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence. Must meet company insurance eligibility requirements. Applicants will be assessed against insurer criteria for penalty points and endorsements
- Hold valid HIAB certification (ALLMI or equivalent).
- Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- Meet the Company’s motor insurance eligibility requirements.
- Have at least 1 year of Class 2 HIAB driving experience (preferred).
- Be able to carry out manual handling tasks associated with deliveries (reasonable adjustments will be considered where applicable).
- Must have sufficient English language ability to safely complete deliveries, understand instructions, and complete required documentation
- Have a good understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Previous HIAB driving experience is desirable.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:45, with occasional Saturday working.
Pay: Up to £18.00 per hour
