Job Vacancy: Afterschool Club Centre Manager

Job Description:
Join our warm and friendly learning-focused Afterschool Club as an experienced Centre Manager. Collaborate closely with our Management Team to maintain and enhance our provision, ensuring all services are delivered to the highest standards. Flexible hours and days are negotiable for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day running and management of core services.
- Meet Ofsted Requirements.
- Recruit, manage, and develop staff, conducting appraisals and training.
- Develop outstanding relationships with children and families, valuing parental involvement.
- Plan and prepare engaging play opportunities meeting children’s developmental needs.
- Maintain up-to-date policies, risk assessments and ensure compliance with local standards.
- Monitor children’s development, maintaining accurate records.
- Provide a diverse and inclusive service, celebrating cultural diversity.
- Assist in policy review and implementation to ensure equality of access.
- Manage resources and report loss/damage or low stock levels.
- Organise holiday play schemes.
- Act as an ambassador and a role model for the organisation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Experience working with children aged 5-16.
- Strong communication and leadership experience.
- Strong judgement and decision making.
- Ability to work independently and identify opportunities.
- Passion for education and raising achievement.
- Understanding of children’s and families’ varied needs.
- UK candidates only.
Desirable Qualities:
- Familiarity with IT resources.
- Teaching or management experience.
- Good Understanding of Ofsted and Safeguarding Requirements and Principles.
- Management of people: 5+ years.
