Great opportunity has come up in Cardiff for experienced Project Managers to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, supporting the successful delivery of capital projects across South Wales.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects from inception to completion, working within a collaborative consultancy environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing programmes, budgets, and client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and compliance. Projects vary from Residential, Commercial, Leisure to Healthcare and Education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including programmes, risk registers, and reports
- Coordinating design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Overseeing cost management, procurement, and change control processes
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and local authorities
- Contributing to business development through professional engagement and project delivery excellence
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years industry experience, ideally working within a consultancy environment
- Degree-qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Ideally working towards, or already holding, APM, RICS, or CIOB accreditation
- Proven experience delivering residential or remediation projects, ideally within a consultancy or client-side environment
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract administration (NEC/JCT), and project controls
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently when required
