About Crossroads Care Slough
Crossroads Care Slough is a local charity that has been supporting carers, disabled people, older people, children and families across Slough for over 30 years.
We provide a range of services including respite care, personal care, community support, companionship, short breaks, carers support and community activities designed to reduce isolation and improve wellbeing.

Why This Role Matters
This is a key role within our organisation.
As the Administrative & Community Support Coordinator, you will help ensure that services run smoothly, staff are supported, records are maintained and the people who rely on our services receive the support they need.
You will be an important member of a small and friendly team where everyone contributes to the success of the organisation. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and is comfortable supporting different aspects of a busy charity environment.
You will have the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work on local people and families and play a meaningful role in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the organisation by:
- Coordinating staff rotas and service schedules using Nourish.
- Supporting the allocation and management of care and community support visits.
- Processing referrals and assisting with the setup of new services.
- Creating, maintaining and updating accurate client and staff records.
- Maintaining information within Nourish and other organisational systems.
- Monitoring and responding to telephone enquiries, emails and routine correspondence.
- Supporting payroll preparation and associated administration.
- Assisting with invoicing and monitoring payments received.
- Liaising with service users, carers, families, staff, health professionals and partner organisations.
- Supporting the delivery of Community Hub sessions and community-based activities.
As part of a small team, the postholder may also assist with:
- Client reviews, assessments and support planning activities.
- Staff supervisions, probation reviews and annual appraisals.
- Recruitment, onboarding and staff development activities.
- Maintaining training, compliance and quality assurance records.
- Supporting audits, monitoring activities and service improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the review and maintenance of organisational policies, procedures and documentation.
- Assisting with the preparation of reports, information and documentation for trustees and governance purposes.
- Representing the organisation at meetings, networking events and community activities.
- Providing occasional front-line operational support where required.
- Supporting the promotion and development of Crossroads Care Slough and its services.
- Undertaking any other duties reasonably required by the CEO or Registered Manager that are consistent with the nature of the role.
Person Specification
Essential
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional, reliable and approachable manner.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Compassionate and person-centred approach.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
Desirable
- Experience within health and social care, administration, customer service or the voluntary sector.
- Experience of rota management, scheduling or service coordination.
- Experience using electronic record systems such as Nourish.
- Experience of payroll, invoicing or office administration.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and quality standards within care services.
- Experience supporting community projects, activities or events.

Additional Information
Due to the nature of a small charity, occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support meetings, events or operational requirements. Time off in lieu will be provided where appropriate.
